My study program

What a theme, the study program of my career, sociology, it’s very new, in fact we (2017 generation) are the first generation that study this program, therefore it’s normal that we can find some mistakes or elements that, in my opinion aren’t entirely relevant.

Respect to the curriculum, the subject that we have to study, I think that it’s the point with which I most agree. In general I’m satisfied with subjects like “Historia social de Chile” o “H. S. de Lationamerica” or “Teorías sociológicas I-II”. Although I think that are subjects that weren’t addressed in a good way.

About the workload I think that usually this is balanced, however, the study program isn’t prepared for students mobilizations that paralyze the academic activities because when the semester is shortened occur that the calendar becomes chaotic (for example: this end of semester).

Although the faculty (FACSO) has a good infrastructure, for example: the construction of the new hall, the classrooms of the old build are very uncomfortable in comparison to the lecture classrooms. It should be noted that the campus (JGM) is in constant reforms and constructions to improve the quality of space. Even so it’s still worrying the accidents produced by negligence in construction, for example: the fall of a tile in the head of a university partner.

About the use of technology I think that the university can invest in better software’s for the students, for example: purchase a license of “Spps” software for the subject “Estadística”.

By last I think that the more subjective them are the teaching methods and the teachers because every student have a way of study that accommodates her more.
