Bojack Horseman

In this last blog I wanna write about one of my favorite series in the last time (with Breaking Bad and Game of thrones), Bojack Horseman. This serie was created by Raphael Bob-Waksberg and produced by Netflix and is an adult animated comedy-drama with episodes of approximately 20 minutes of duration. When I start to watching Bojack I expected it to be a serie focused especially in the humor, but beyond the humorous content, which are mainly satires and sarcasm, this serie try to delve into the life of a retired Hollywood actor (Bojack Horseman) and his internal conflicts. The serie explore themes like the excesses, insecurity, self-sabotage and work addiction, this themes are incarnated in the diverse characters, every one of them. Respect to the characters they are divided between humans and anthropomorphic animals, every one of the main characters have. My study program

What a theme, the study program of my career, sociology, it’s very new, in fact we (2017 generation) are the first generation that study this program, therefore it’s normal that we can find some mistakes or elements that, in my opinion aren’t entirely relevant. Respect to the curriculum, the subject that we have to study, I think that it’s the point with which I most agree. In general I’m satisfied with subjects like “Historia social de Chile” o “H. S. de Lationamerica” or “Teorías sociológicas I-II”. Although I think that are subjects that weren’t addressed in a good way. About the workload I think that usually this is balanced, however, the study program isn’t prepared for students mobilizations that paralyze the academic activities because when the semester is shortened occur that the calendar becomes chaotic (for example: this end of semester). Blog #5 My grandmother

Today I wanna talk about one of the  persons that I more love in my family, my maternal grandmother. I think that the majority of persons who have a good relationship with their grandmother’s love’s her (I repeat, I think, I can’t talk for everyone). For this reason today I wanna talk about my maternal grandmother. Her name is Emilia with my mother and my other grandma is one of the woman’s that I admire most in the world. I admire her for many reasons, for example when I was a child I spend a lot of time with her when my parents were working, thank to this I received great parts of my “values and principles” from her, like don’t let anyone pass over me and the respect for people different to me. Something curious and that always make me reflect is when my mom says that if my grandma was born in this time would be a feminist leader in university or active participant because even when she got married very young, she never depends of my grandfather, she worked for his part...

My best holiday

My best holiday so far was in the year 2015. This holiday lasted three weeks approximately. I went to the "Carretera Austral" located in the south of Chile since Puerto Montt in “Los Lagos” region to Villa O’Higgins in “Aysén” region and also to Argentina crossing through Chile Chico. I went with my family (my dad, my mom, my little brother and my uncle) and with two friends of my parents. This holiday was the best so far because the landscapes of this route, in my opinion, are the most beautiful of Chile. I still remember the fjords near to Hornopiren, the trail of Chaiten’s volcano, the “General Carrera” lake and my favorite place Caleta Tortel. But definitely what I liked the most was spend time with my family and enjoy this place with them. The only negative was to find out that was Pinochet who developed this project more deeply, although just was for exercise domination in the territory and not for improve the quality of life of the people from the area. ...

My future studies

Honestly, until this day I never think in this topic before, this because I want concentrate in my actual career (sociology). However, if I should to choose another career or something like that (postgraduate) I would like to study something related to social sciences (like psychology or anthropology) or history. My reasons for choose something related to social sciences are that its the discipline that more interest me since the high school together with the history. Respect to the subjects that I would like to study, as I already mentioned I'm interested in the history, particularly in Latin American and Chilean social history. If I had the opportunity I really would like to study in the foreign, in any country in specific, but would cool study and live abroad. Considering that I only have visited Argentina, any country sounds like a good option, especially outside América. Obviously I prefer study in the same mode that actually, but I dont know if this will be possible ...

Russia and the B side of World Cup

Personally, I could consider myself a "football fan" although I prefer play it that watch it, but this don't means that I not wait for the great tournaments like the "UEFA Champions league", "Copa América" or the prestigious league "Premier league", but of all of the tournaments already named, my favourite and the one that I most expect is the "FIFA World Cup". However as much as I like this sport, this doesn't remove that like various other disciplines have its bad side, for example: fans fight ("Hooligans", "Barras Bravas", etc), the use that give some business owners to the football clubs and associations for money laundering, and the most recent case, hide social problematics behind the frenzy that events like the FIFA World Cup generates. A country I'd like to visit

It's very difficult choose only one country in all the world that I'd like to know. But if I have to make a decision I travel to Russia. Russia is a asian-european country knew principally, for been a large country, with a extension that cover seventen million square kilometers of surface approximately. Russia also is known for his cold weather, recording often sub-zero temperatures (in the degrees celsius scale). I'd like to visit this country becausei think that the culture of russian people contrast with our culture, and with the occident in general. Really I don't know deeply the customs and traditions of Russia, is for this reason that I want to travel to this land. Inside the principal touristic places in Russia we can find: The Moscow Kremlin, The Winter Palace and the Red Square.
